Yan Jianyong, native of Xucun, Cui'erzhuang Town, Cang County, Hebei Province. He is a research fellow of the China Calligraphy and Painting Talent Research and Training Center, researcher of the Calligraphy and Painting Department of Hong Kong Oriental Culture Center, outstanding artist of the Painting and Calligraphy China program on China Education Television, honorary curator of the State Guest Pavilion Art Museum, contracted calligraphy and painting artist of CCTV, and member of the General Department Cultural Work Committee of Huaxia Culture Promotion Association, among other titles. His hard-tip calligraphy works are included in 1995 Cross-Century Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting Artists Treasury and Peony Calligraphy and Painting Collection, and were exhibited at the National Museum of Chinese History and the Central Art Museum. He received the Global Art Lifetime Achievement Award, known as the Oscar of the art circle. He was covered by People's Daily, Minsheng Weekly, and honored as the Representative of Chinese Artists at the World Culture Festival. His fine works were presented on large screens at Capital International Airport under the International Exhibition Project for Outstanding Chinese Artists. His artworks have been published in the national journal China Collection, and other publications.
